BCP offers recurring weekly rides. Below is a general description of the recurring weekly rides, with pace, mileage, starting time, location, and organizer. The weekly rides are also listed by date in the Daily Ride Calendar which you should check for specific ride leaders and any additional information on the ride. Information about starting locations is available on our Ride Guide page which is found under the rides menu item.

There are two different listings of the recurring weekly rides available on this page. The normal view gives a listing of the recurring weekly rides that are active for one month and you are able to move back and forth from month to month to view the weekly rides that were active in different months. Initially one is viewing the current month. The other view that is available on this page shows all the recurring weekly rides that were listed for the last year and those planned for the future.

  • G.R.I.T Ride

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on July 2, 2017 and is scheduled to end on July 30, 2017. The ride will depart from TBD at 8:00 am. Ride Level: B, Speed: 13-14 mph, Distance: 45+/- miles. Bring your 29er, CX, Gravel or equip your road bike with wider tires as we mashup rides across various asphalt, gravel and sometimes dirt terrains. Expect a good challenge as we grind gravel trails and hit a few climbs with great company for no other purpose than to have fun and put in a few unpaved miles.   • Valley Forge Winter Ride: Sunday Edition

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on December 25, 2016 and is scheduled to end on March 19, 2017. The ride will depart from Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms) at 9:00 am. Ride Level: B, Speed: 13.5 mph, Distance: 35 miles. Every Sunday thru March we will ride 17.5 miles to Hennings Market in Harleysville for an indoor coffee break, then ride 17.5 mile back to Valley Forge. Plan is to be back in VF by noon.   • Kayuh Pedalers: Spring (m-a-m) Rides

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on March 12, 2017 and is scheduled to end on May 28, 2017. The ride will depart from Kayuh Bike and Cafe, 19th and Girard Ave at 9:00 am. Ride Level: D, C-, Speed: 10 15 mph, Distance: 15-20 miles. Casual rides, 18 years and older. This year, besides the standard rides, there will be four (4) training rides, spread through the three months, for one of our regular Pedalers. (She is going to do the Longest Day Ride in NJ, 200 miles). These rides will be between 35 and 50 miles and time and road conditions will vary. Come out and help her get ready.   • Kayuh Pedalers Fall Rides

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on September 24, 2017 and is scheduled to end on December 3, 2017. The ride will depart from Kayuh Bicycle and Cafe, 19th & W. Girard Ave at 9:00 am. Ride Level: D, Speed: 11 mph, Distance: 20-25 miles. Fall is here. Kayuh Pedalers' Rides will take in the foliage around Philly. The ride distance & destination will be decided on day of the ride & will be determined on the riders that show up. Changes to start time or destination will be updated on the calendar.     This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on December 10, 2017 and is scheduled to end on April 1, 2018. The ride will depart from Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe 19th St. & Girard Ave at 9:00 am. Ride Level: D, Speed: 11 mph, Distance: 25 miles. The rides will continue through the winter, weather and safety permitting.   • Hike the Wissahickon

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on November 19, 2017 and is scheduled to end on March 18, 2018. The ride will depart at 9:30 am. Ride Level: hike, Distance: 6-8 miles. This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on November 19, 2017 and is scheduled to end March 18, 2018. The ride will depart from from various locations accessing the Wissahickon at 9:30 am. Ride Level: intermediate hike, Distance: 6-8 miles. BCP and SCU have a joint weekly Sunday hike in the beautiful Wissahickon Gorge of Fairmount Park from mid-November until mid-March. The hikes are mainly on trails, but the hike leader can direct you toward flat options if you need an easier or quicker route. Hiking boots or shoes are recommended. Well-behaved, leashed canine friends are welcome. The hikes generally last two and a half to three hours. The first and last hike are celebrated afterward with a party. The hikes start at different sites accessing the Wissahickon, so check the daily ride listing for details. The hikes leave promptly at the stated start time of 9:30AM.   • Sunny Sunday Afternoon D Ride Ride and Instructional Ride

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays and it is scheduled throughout the year. The ride will depart from the formal entrance to the Azalea Garden at 12:00 pm. Ride Level: D. Casual introductory level ride, suited for improving group riding skills and fitness. Safety instruction provided. If noted as instructional in the listing for a specific date, the ride will also cover riding basics such as shifting, clipless pedals etc. Distance and speed will be dictated by the abilities of the group. D rides are generally 10-20 miles at a pace of 8-12 mi/hr, and the ride will regroup as necessary. Adverse weather generally cancels the ride. Helmet, bicycle in operating condition and water is required. Snacks are strongly advised.   • Sunday Afternoon (Post-Hike) Winter Ramble Ride (General description -- specific details will be posted for each Sunday)

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Sundays starting on November 19, 2017 and is scheduled to end on March 11, 2018. The ride will depart from Bruno's, Northwestern and Germantown Aves at 1:20 pm. Ride Level: C+/B-, Speed: 13-15 mph, Distance: 30-35 miles. Scenic, 30-35-ish mile loop, usually through Montgomery County or Lower Bucks, with a brief rest stop. Unless otherwise stated, this winter afternoon ride will meet most Sundays at Bruno's Diner (finishing point for many of the Sunday morning Wissahickon hikes). Instead of Bruno's, we may on occasion meet at another location in Chestnut Hill. Even if you don't join the hike in the morning, you are welcome to cycle with us on this afternoon ride! We will stop to regroup if needed, but try as much as possible to maintain 13-15mph, due to short daylight. Plan is to return before 5:00pm. Please bring LIGHTS, just in case we return in the nick of time. Please ensure that your bike is ready before start time, so that we can leave promptly. Specific details will be posted for each Sunday's Route. Scheduled for EVERY Sunday throughout the winter (for the duration of the hiking season), weather permitting, EXCEPT for the last Sunday in February. (Leader will be away cross-country skiing.) This ride will resume on the first Sunday of March. If winter weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a snow activity, e.g., cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing.   • Monday "COS" Multi-Level Group Rides in Wayne, PA ( No Rides on Holidays that Fall on a Monday)

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 3, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 25, 2017. The ride will depart from Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: D thru A, Speed: 10-20 mph, Distance: 10-40 miles. Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 8 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). We also have post-ride socials at the Great American Pub in Wayne as well as two "tailgate" nights in the COS lot where BCP and SCU provide free pizza and soda to all riders.We also provide Q sheets and experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but join the group Elist for last minute updates when weather is questionable.   • Delightful, Delicious D (& D+/C-) Ride, Monday Evening Edition

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on May 8, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 18, 2017. The ride will depart from Upper Dublin High School at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: D/D+/C-, Speed: 8-12 mph, Distance: 15-28 miles. Scheduled for most Monday evenings throughout the summer. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Pedal away the stresses of the work day, at a relaxed pace.n We'll cycle on peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery County. We'll be meeting in the small parking lot next to the ball field, and across the street from the high school. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Occasionally, this Monday night ride from UDHS may be cancelled, if there is a special Tailgate event at the COS ride in Wayne on the same date. Cue sheets will not be available.     This weekly ride is scheduled on Tuesdays starting on March 21, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 5, 2017. The ride will depart from Bulldog Statue, 25th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. at 5:45 pm. Ride Level: B/B-, Speed: 15 mph, Distance: 30-37 miles. Ride north towards Ambler riding through Schuylkill Park to Stenton Rd. How far out we go depends on daylight available. No cue sheet. No rest stops. Will regroup to let the ride leader catch up.   • Conshohocken Night Lights Rides - 25 +/- miles. 13-14+ MPH

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Tuesdays starting on February 7, 2017 and is scheduled to end on March 28, 2017. The ride will depart from Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: c, Speed: 13-14 mph, Distance: 25 miles. Is spinning too boring a way to maintain your riding fitness level? Join us on Tuesday nights for a ride down the SRT to the Art Museum and back. We leave from the Jacobs Engineering parking lot on Ash Street on the left closest to the river and ride to the Art Museum via Umbria Street, Main Street Manayunk, and, if there are enough of us, MLK Drive. There is a brief stop at Lloyd Hall. Other paces may be offered if there is a leader. Strong headlamp (200 lumen minimum), and tail light are required as is reflective clothing. Rain, Snow or Ice on the trail or roads, and daytime high below freezing will cancel the ride.   • Tuesday Night from North Penn High School

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Tuesdays starting on March 21, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 26, 2017. The ride will depart from North Penn High School - meet behind the school near the bus depot at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: C+/B-, Speed: 13-15 mph. Tuesday evening C+/B- ride from North Penn High School. We will meet at 6pm every Tuesday evening through the end of September. The rides will begin the season at 13-14mph and increase to occasional 15-16mph rides as the season slowly progresses. The riding distance is determined by the amount of sunlight. Come on out and discover new roads and routes. We never repeat a route during a single season. Cue sheets will not be available.   • Delightful, Delicious D (& D+/C-) Ride, Tuesday Evening Edition

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Tuesdays starting on May 9, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 12, 2017. The ride will depart from Glenside Public Library parking lot at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: D/D+/C-, Speed: 8-11 mph, Distance: 12-25 miles. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. We'll be meeting in the parking lot adjacent to the library. Enjoy a friendly, non-competitive ride on quiet roads through pretty residential neighborhoods. Occasionally, we'll ride on park trails. Please bring LIGHTS in case we are delayed on our return. This ride is scheduled for 3/4 Tuesdays each month, however, one Tuesday a month (usually, the LAST Tuesday each month), there is no Delightful, Delicious D ride - this leader leads the "Ride to the Monthly Newsletter Mailing Party" instead, from Glenside Library to Center City.   • Conshocken Nite Lights rides are back

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Tuesdays starting on October 3, 2017 and is scheduled to end on October 31, 2017. The ride will depart from Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: B, Speed: 16-18 mph, Distance: 25 +/- miles. Conshohocken night light rides are back for this fall. Meet at the parking lot across Ash Street from Jacobs Engineering. There are no bathrooms at this location. 16-18 mph for about 25 miles. Faster on the flat sections and slower on the few hills. Riders needs to be able to keep this pace. Rest stop at Lloyd Hall for bathroom and a quick snack (you need to bring your own snack). A STRONG HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT ARE REQUIRED AS SOME OF THE RIDE WILL BE AFTER DARK AND ON ROADS THAT DO NOT HAVE ANY LIGHTING. Cue sheets will not be available.   • Nighttime Phoenixville Dog Rides

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on November 8, 2017 and is scheduled to end on March 28, 2018. The ride will depart from Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA at 6:30 am. Ride Level: B-/C+, Speed: 13.5-14.5 mph, Distance: 30-35 miles. The rides of darkness are back every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm until the return of daylight savings time. Maintain your fitness level with weekly 30-35 mile rides. Strong headlights and taillights required. These are beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. No one dropped, regroup as necessary, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace on rolling to hilly terrain. Dress warmly.   • Flourtown Multi-Level Group Rides

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on April 5, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 27, 2017. The ride will depart from Flourtown Shopping Center at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: C thru A-, Speed: 13-19 mph, Distance: 20-40 miles. Meet every Wednesday 5:45pm, April thru September for multi-level group rides which start at 6pm sharp. We meet in the Flourtown Shopping Center far rear parking lot which is where the Giant Food Market is at. Ride levels C+ ( 13-14 mph), B Minus (14-15mph), B/B+ (16-17mph) and A Minus (17-19mph). Rides generally start 6pm sharp but look at the daily individual ride description for possible changes. Cue sheets will not be available.   • Day / Night Phoenixville Dog Ride

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on March 22, 2017 and is scheduled to end on April 26, 2017. The ride will depart from Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: B-, Speed: 13.5-14.5 mph, Distance: 40-50 miles. The Phoenixville Day / Night dog rides return ! Celebrate the return of spring and longer days by joining us for daytime/nighttime rides until the end of April. Starting in the daylight, these rides continue in the dark for another 2-2.5 hours. These are beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. A strong headlight and taillight are required. No one dropped, regroup as necessary, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace on rolling to hilly terrain. Precipitation and icy road conditions cancel.   • Delightful, Delicious "D" (and D+/C-) Ride, Wednesday Evening Edition

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on May 10, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 20, 2017. The ride will depart from Flourtown Shopping Center at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: D/D+/C-, Speed: 9-11 mph, Distance: 15-28 miles. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Pedal away the day's stresses at a relaxed pace. Non-competitive ride on quiet roads through pretty, residential neighborhoods. We'll be meeting in the same parking lot as the "Multi-Paced Rides" listed above. We'll meet in the rear of the parking lot, near the Giant Market. Please bring LIGHTS in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available. Please note: One Wednesday per month (usually the second Wednesday), Linda cannot lead this ride, due to the BCP Board meeting.   • Phoenixville Day/Night Dog Ride

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on May 3, 2017 and is scheduled to end on October 25, 2017. The ride will depart from Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: B-/C+, Speed: 13.5-14.5 mph, Distance: 30-40 miles. The dwindling daylight brings back the lights. Instead of settling for under 20 miles, these rides start in the daylight and continue in the darkness. Strong headlights and taillights required. Every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm through the end of October, These are beautiful rides on low-traffic roads.     This weekly ride is scheduled on Thursdays starting on September 7, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 21, 2017. The ride will depart from Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot at 5:45 pm. Ride Level: C+ and B, Speed: 13-14 and 14-16 mph, Distance: 20-30+ miles. Meet at 5:30 for a prompt start. Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 2 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. We will meet at 6pm every Thursday evening through the end of September. The rides will begin the season at 13-14mph and increase to occasional 15-16mph rides as the season slowly progresses.     This weekly ride is scheduled on Thursdays starting on April 6, 2017 and is scheduled to end on September 14, 2017. The ride will depart from Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: B-/C+ and B, Speed: 13.5 -14.5 mph, Distance: 25-35 miles. A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Pedal away the stresses of the workday at a relaxed pace. We'll be meeting in the same parking lot as the "Multi-Level Conshohocken Rides". We'll start by riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, the Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill with Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring lights in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available.     This weekly ride is scheduled on Saturdays and is scheduled to end on August 31, 2014. The ride will depart from Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum at 9:15 am. Ride Level: C/C+, Speed: 13/14 mph, Distance: 40-50 miles. Frequently we ride the Ambler ride. We'll keep a steady pace and effort but, as necessary, will wait to regroup. There will be some hills to climb on the ride and in order for the average speed to be 13-14 mph sometimes we will be going faster than 14 mph. Bring money for a snack.
