Sun, Sept 1 - Donut Derby Lehigh Valley Velodrome, Trexlertown PA. fun race with rest stops every 12 miles where racers can get water, use the bathroom, and get DONUTS. For every donut eaten, three minutes are deducted from your official finish time. Sag supported, accurate cue sheets, well marked roads, trophies, awards, prizes, the coveted SPARE TIRE CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS and a rollicking good time are all hallmarks of this excellent Labor Day adventure. A hot lunch is available after the ride.

Sat, Sept 6 - Civil War Century Thurmont, MD. Ride 25 mi flat, 50 or 62 mi rolling, 77 or 105 mi hilly, on low-traffic roads. Ride through famous historical sites with breathtaking scenery. Baltimore Bicycle Club.

Sat. Sept. 6 - Half and Olympic Triathlon at Nockamixon State Park

Sat, Sept 6 - Tour de Farms Vincentown, NJ. 13, 25, and 50 mile routes starting at the Jack Allen Early Country Living Museum. Riders visit farms along a given route and may purchase produce using coupons called Farm Bucks. Produce purchases are later returned to the starting point by Burlington County using SAG wagons.

Sat., 6-? Sept. Legacy Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Utah, What some have called the "worlds most scenic bicycle ride," 3, 7 & 10 day options.

Sun, Sept. 7 - Shoo-Fly Classic Challenge yourself with a 62-mile metric century or take it a bit easier with the short 20 mile or intermediate 40 mile ride option. Combine rides to make it a full century. All rides wind through the scenic Oley Valley, recognized by Bicycling Magazine as one of the best cycling areas on the East Coast. The short and intermediate rides stay mainly in the valley with easy rolling hills and light traffic. Ride across the Pleasantville covered bridge and venture out to visit the Daniel Boone homestead. The 62 mile option climbs out of the valley. Enjoy the 20 mile view overlooking the lush valley, and then take a break at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome. Long or short, easy or hard, it·s your choice. Snacks and drink refreshment stops are provided for registered riders at approximately every 20 miles. Support vehicles will patrol all routes offering assistance to riders if needed. Riders are provided with course maps and written directions. All routes are clearly marked. After the ride relax and feast from a broad selection of goodies and of course enjoy a few of our signature bite sized SHOO-FLY pies.

Sun, Sept 7 - Southern Maryland Fall Century Indian Head, MD. 100, 30, 63, and 100 mile routes. Oxon Hill Bicycle and Trail Club. Cycle through scenic and historic Southern Maryland.

Sat., Sept 13 - Milton Harvest Festival Bike Race 28 mile bike road race starting and ending in Milton PA.

Sun, Sept 14 - Bike Philly - A family-friendly bike tour celebrating the freedom of car-free Philadelphia streets, ride through historic neighborhoods, taking over the Parkway, passing through Old City and exploring hidden corners of Fairmount Park.

Sat -Sun. Sept. 20-21 - Ride in the Heartland 2008 Charlotte Court House, VA. Ride through the rolling countryside of Charlotte County, Virginia. Cyclists choose from 102 miles, 64 miles ('century' & 'metric century'), or among shorter rides of 11 to 33 miles. Rides begin and end at historic village of Charlotte Court House. Join us for meals and enjoy the beauty of the countryside and local historic sites.

Sat, Sept. 20 - Harford County Pink Ribbon Ride 4, 12, 25, 62 and 100 miles through Harford County. Proceeds raised will support the programs of the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance. Marked routes, SAG, rest stops, cue sheets, maps provided as well as lunch. Showers available for use after the ride. $25 if preregistered by September 6, 2008 and $30 after September 6. Teeshirts available for $15 with preregistration.

Sat, Sept 20 - Jersey Devil Century Parvin State Park, Centerton, NJ. Ride 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles by combining loops from the central food stop; flat terrain. South Jersey Wheelmen.

Sun. Sept. 21 - Three Creek Century. A leisurely ride (not a race) through the scenic Cumberland Valley. Most routes offer gentle terrain although one 25-mile route contains some challenging hills. Chicken corn soup and home-baked goods featured. Registration forms and directions available at www.harrisburgbicycleclub.org.

Fri-Sun, Sept 26-28 - Weekend in Lancaster Lancaster PA. Three days of scenic cycling, lodging at the Mill Stream Country Inn on Friday and Saturday nights, buffet dinner on Saturday night at the Bird-in-Hand Restaurant and more. Baltimore Bicycling Club.

Sat. Sept 28 - Twin Lights Ride Sandy Hook, NJ. Scenic Monmouth County and the Town of Highlands on the edge of the Atlantic near Sandy Hook

Sat, Oct. 4 Belleplain Fall Century - Woodbine, NJ. Late season ride through the flat and scenic southern NJ forests and coastal towns with a trip past East Point Lighthouse. The ride consists of two (2) main loops, each containing a short or long route option. You can ride any combination which can be combined for a Metric (63 mi.) or Full (100 mi.) Century Ride. Shore Cycle Club.

Sat, Oct. 4 - Sea Gull Century Salisbury, MD. 63 or 100 miles on very flat terrain. The century route goes to Assateague Island. The weekend activities include unsupported rides on Oct. 5 and 7.

Sat, Oct. 4 Autumn Tour de Bucks. - Bicyclists of all levels are invited to participate in the Pedals Around the World Autumn Tour de Bucks. 8 am in Washington Crossing Park [PA side] at the General Greene Pavilion. Free T-shirt with registration and prizes for riders with sponsors! Choose from two route options: The Road Ride – 25 miles [approx.] through Newtown, Pa. or The Family Ride - 10 miles along the Canal. The Pedals around the World Project is an initiative that collects used bikes and connects them to people in need all over the world. Sun, Oct. 5 - Gap Gallop Century Bethlehem, PA. 50, 68 or 100 mi. Great scenery, varied terrain and lightly traveled roads make it one of the most enjoyable centuries in the Northeast. Sat, Oct. 10 - Flaming Foliage Metric Century Beautiful ride through Northeastern Pennsylvania at the peak of the Flaming Foliage Seasons. Plenty of water stops and a great lunch. All for a good cause.

Sat., Oct 18 - Tour de Leaves. Tour de Leaves is one of the most scenic rides in Western North Carolina. Tryon, NC is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The views are fantastic and we will have plenty of rest stops available. Rest stops are well stocked and some have bathrooms. Routes feature Tour de Leaves (66.3 miles) and Tour de Leaves Lite (31.9 miles) with plenty of climbing, plus an easy, relaxing Tour de Leaves Family Ride (4 miles).
