Registration and fee

Registration was a breeze, even when I was a couple minutes late. No problems there.

I downloaded the form and filled it out before I got to the registration desk. Registration was very, very fast.

  • 98% surveyed in 2009 were EXTREMELY OR VERY SATISFIED with registration (0% weren’t satisfied).

Registration Picture You can conveniently register today on-line (using a major credit card) or by mail (personal check or money order, no cash please). Remember, it pays to register early. If you decide to enter both Philadelphia Bicycling Weekend events* (the Philadelphia Bicycle Club’s Scenic Schuylkill Century and The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia’s Bike Philly), you need only register once. Please note both events are rain or shine and do not offer refunds.

* Philadelphia Bicycling Weekend is a joint effort between two unrelated organizations. Together, we are promoting a weekend of fun cycling in Philadelphia and offering discounted registration for those doing both events.

  • The Scenic Schuylkill Century is a Bicycle Club of Philadelphia (Philadelphia’s leading bicycling club) event.
  • Bike Philly is a Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (the area’s bicycling advocacy group) event.

REGISTRATION

You are most welcome to register at the ride: bring $30 in cash or check.

You can save a couple of minutes by bringing a filled-out paper form .
Do NOT mail that form and payment; and it's too late to register on line.

Just show up Saturday morning and have a wonderful time.

Not a club member? Join BCP now and take advantage of reduced event registration fee. Membership dues are $15 per year when the monthly newsletter, the Quick Release, is received by e-mail and $20 per year when received by paper mail.

Other benefits of becoming a club member include discounts at local area bike shops, invitations to special organized club events, access to a wealth of cycling information in the members-only area of the Club's website and most important, many, many club rides for riders of all abilities, week in, week out, all year long!

The start/finish

Day of ride registration and check-in begins at 6:45 am at Lloyd Hall on Kelly Drive, just behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

  • All routes start and end at Lloyd Hall.
  • This is a rain or shine event, no refunds will be issued.
  • New this year: Staggered starts. This will help ease congestion on the roads (which increases safety), and additionally allow you the possibility of riding with people who are riding the same distance as you.

Full Century starts at 7:45 am

Metric Century starts at 8:00 am

25 and 40 mile starts at 8:15 am

All riders must starts ride by 9:00 am

The Gift

Register by August 31 to receive this year's gifts: a nice cue sheet holder/clip for all those club rides and touring, and a reflective sports pack that can be used for multiple purposes (commuting, touring, shopping, etc). Please note that each rider must pre-register by August 31 and be present the day of the event to receive the gift; they will not be mailed.
