Join us for this year's Peter Odell Ride to Brooklyn!

Start/Finish Most of our riders will follow the original route from New Hope to Brooklyn, but several options are available.  You could choose to:
  • start in New Hope to ride the original 90-mile route to Brooklyn with an A, B, or C group.
(7:30 am ride departure from New Hope)

  • take our bus (with your bike) from 30th Street in Philadelphia to New Hope to join the riders starting at New Hope.
(6:00 am bus departure from 30th St to New Hope)

  • ride 130 miles from 30th Street in Philadelphia to Brooklyn with an A group.
(6:00 am ride departure from 30th St to Brooklyn)

  • ride on our bus from New Hope to the 70-mile C group or or 50-mile D group rides into Brooklyn.    (7:30 am bus departure from New Hope)
The bus from New Hope will bring riders and bikes to the 70-mile and 50-mile starts, and will bring all riders' bags to Brooklyn.

The Ride Our route meanders along the South Branch of the Raritan River, across the Watchung Mts, and down into Basking Ridge NJ, before riding through the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.  It then transitions to an urban route through Elizabeth, Newark, and Jersey City  before taking the ferry from Hoboken to Manhattan.

In New York, the route goes down the Hudson River Greenway bike path and over the Brooklyn Bridge to our destination, the Nu Hotel in Brooklyn Heights. (See: www.nuhotelbrooklyn.com

Refreshments will be available upon arrival at the hotel in Brooklyn. We’ve also made arrangements for showering and changing at the hotel. You can pick up your bag from the bus, which will be waiting upon arrival. For dinner, many affordable fine dining establishments are nearby, featuring Thai, Italian, Greek, Indian, and Continental cuisines.

We will leave at 9 pm to return to New Hope and Philadelphia via motor coaches. Professional movers will transport our bicycles back to the starting points, where they will be waiting upon our return.

The truck bringing back the bikes will go on to 30th Street after returning to New Hope.

This is a fully supported ride with SAG support, cue sheets, electronic GPS files, and ride leaders with each group. Groups will operate according to BCP ride policies.
