Who can get the Quick Release Web Subscription? Current paid BCP members can receive the newsletter via the web, provided they have email and web access. You need to request the web subscription on your membership application or you can sign up on our website. Subscribing to the web version entitles you to a membership at reduced dues of just $15 per year.
How will I receive the Web Subscription? How does it work? Very simply, you will receive an e-mail announcement with an optional attached file once a month, usually about the 23rd of the month via your e- mail account. The e-mail announcement will contain the monthly password to access the newest QR on the BCP website. If you wish, you can have the Quick Release .pdf file sent as an attachment to the e-mail message.
Do I need access to a web browser or just e-mail?
Access to email alone is sufficient if you can receive and open
an attached .pdf file. If you get only the password emailed to you, a web
browser is needed also, to get the pdf file from the Web site.
My mail service won't allow attached files. Can I still get the web
subscription?
Yes, you can download a .pdf file of the QR newsletter from the website.
If you have difficulty printing with Acrobat Reader, remember that the

What kind of file is sent to me?
A .pdf file is sent to your email address, and is also at the BCP Website. A
.pdf file is a file that can be opened, viewed and printed by Adobe
Acrobat(tm), a FREE program available for Mac and Windows.
Or with free Foxit Reader for Windows.
Where can I get the software?
You can get Adobe Acrobat free from:
You can get Foxit Reader free from:

I got the file. When I double-click on it, nothing happens. First start up the Reader program, then use its FILE menu and select the open command. You will need to know which directory or folder the Quick Release .pdf file is in.
The .pdf file is an unknown format. It won't open. Make certain that you have your mail program preferences set to handle attached files correctly. The file is encoded as text using a Base64 encoding. Most e-mail programs for Mac and Windows, if properly configured, will decode this automatically. If this is a problem, try downloading the file from the private website page using the your password and username. Web browsers are usually preconfigured to decode .pdf files properly.

Laser printers with limited memory may have trouble printing the Quick
Release .pdf file. Usually, memory or postscript problems will
occur if you have an early laser printer or limited memory. Try turning grey
scale printing off, try turning off all smoothing and special effects. Also
try printing ONE PAGE AT A TIME or just a few pages at a time. Try printing
just pages 1-3. Inkjet printers should have no problem printing the file.
Additionally, many people find their computers have less problems using an
OLDER version of Acrobat Reader, especially if your laser printer
doesn't handle level II Postscript. You download the older version from this
