    Level C+/B-, 14-15 mph, 61 +/- miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Ride to New Hope with a lunch stop at the French Bakery. Some hills, regroup as needed. Riders should be able to keep the advertised pace. Faster on flats, slower on hills. Bring plenty to drink and an on bike snack. Potty stops on the way out and back.     Level D, 10-15 mph, 40 miles. Meet at Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe 19th St. & Girard Ave. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. This causal ride will be to the top of Pennypack Park via Tacony park, then to the trail behind the philly prisons, & home. This is around 40 miles, plan on around a 5 hour ride with stops.     Level C+/B-, 14 - 15 mph, 43 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Join me to participate in two of my favorite activities, biking and drinking. A friendly C+/B- ride starting at the Italian Fountain, behind the Art Museum and finishing at the Evil Genius Beer Company, Fishtown (at ~ 1:30 pm) for their Octoberfest event. The route will have a hilly first half followed by a break at Riverbend Cycles Cafe. Then after a loop round Morris Arboretum, an urban final quarter. Total climbing is 2600 feet.     Level D, 10 mph, 15-25 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. Introductory ride for those new to riding or looking to improve riding skills and fitness for the C rides. Ride will be in the Fairmount Park area, will regroup as needed and be tailored to the abilities of those participating. You will need a helmet, water, and a tube for your tire. A snack is strongly recommended, as we may not stop for food. Safety and equipment instruction provided as needed. Rain one hour to the start time, cancels Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level B-, 14 ish mph, 20 ish miles. . The ride leaves at 5:45 pm. WE CAN NOT MEET AT COS. I did not know that we had a formal written agreement with the church that has set start and end dates. This is my mistake. I will be in the parking lot and I will give directions to the shopping center at the corner of Aberdeen Av and Rt 30/Lancaster Pike. It is 1.2 miles from the church parking lot.     Level C+, B, and B+/A-, 13.5 +/-, 15.5 +/- and 17 +/- mph, 48 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Bring yer bike and sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to Hennings Market in Harleysville, following a quick park rest stop on the way out. Mostly low trafficked back roads and rolling hills (no steep climbs). Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws.     Tue October 3, 2017 - Conshocken Nite Lights rides are back

    Level B, 16-18 mph, 25 +/- miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Conshohocken night light rides are back for this fall. Meet at the parking lot across Ash Street from Jacobs Engineering. There are no bathrooms at this location. 16-18 mph for about 25 miles. Faster on the flat sections and slower on the few hills. Riders needs to be able to keep this pace. Rest stop at Lloyd Hall for bathroom and a quick snack (you need to bring your own snack). A STRONG HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT ARE REQUIRED AS SOME OF THE RIDE WILL BE AFTER DARK AND ON ROADS THAT DO NOT HAVE ANY LIGHTING. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level B-/C+, 13.5-14.5 mph, 30-40 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. The dwindling daylight brings back the lights. Instead of settling for under 20 miles, these rides start in the daylight and continue in the darkness. Strong headlights and taillights required. Every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm through the end of October, These are beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. No one dropped, regroup as necessary, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace on rolling to hilly terrain. Precipitation cancels.

    Fri October 6, 2017 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. Ice Cream on a Warm Day: Gwynedd/North Wales to OWowCow Creamery in Wrightstown, Bucks County

    Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 55 miles. Parkside Place Park, Sumneytown Pike, Upper Gwynedd/North Wales. This is across from the large Merck campus on Sumneytown. We'll meet in the parking lot opposite the public swimming pool.. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. New route, scenic and pretty, from Parkside Place Park in Upper Gwynedd to the OWowCow Creamery in Wrightstown, Bucks County. The outbound portion will include the 202 Parkway Trail, and the return will include the Horsham Power Line trail. At mile 12, we can take a quick bathroom/snack break if needed at the Del Val College Market on Lower State Rd in Doylestown. The ice cream & lunch stop is at mile 28. There is an organic food market, a country store (sandwich shop/deli), and a pizzeria/Italian restaurant near the creamery in the same complex. On the return, at mile 38, we can stop at Wawa for water, etc. The middle portion of this route is particularly green and peaceful, and crosses two creeks (Jericho and Neshaminy). Generic description: scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check the daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map will be provided for each ride.     Sun October 8, 2017 - Hopewell Furnace Classic DEFERRED for 10/8, due to rain - rescheduled for Saturday, 10/21

    Level B-, 13-15 mph, 60 miles. French Creek State Park, parking lot at Hopewell Lake, near the boat launch area.. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. An incredibly scenic ride through the Oley Valley in Berks County. Thanks to Rich Wagner for this picturesque route. Featuring the crossing of two covered bridges, Three rest stops. One at your standard convenience store. One at a great little deli/restaurant in the quaint town of Oley. And even one at a chocolatier. Terrain will consist of significant climbs for the first and last 15 miles. The middle 30 is rolling to flat. This will be one of the prettiest rides you will do this year. Cue sheets will be available. Total climbing 4176 feet. We will stop to regroup as needed. DRIVING DIRECTIONS to French Creek State Park: Take the Main PA Turnpike (I-76) West to the Downingtown Exit. This is two exits beyond (west of) the Valley Forge exit. After leaving the Turnpike, take PA 100 North/Pottstown Pike for 4 miles. You will pass through the town of Eagle. Turn left onto Conestoga Rd/PA-401 West. Stay on 401 West for 6 miles, then turn right onto PA-345 North/Bulltown Rd. Follow PA-345 North for 4 miles. There will be signs on 345 for French Creek State Park, and Hopewell Lake.     Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 55 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Pretty loop from Upper Dublin High School to Tabora's in Chalfont for lunch, as well as some creamy, frozen refreshment. Cue sheets will be provided. Total elevation gain is 2755 feet, no extreme climbing. Please click on the route map link to view the elevation profile. The lunch & ice cream stop at Tabora's is at mile 23. On the outbound, there are places to take a quick bathroom/snack break at mile 16. After lunch at Tabora's, we'll cycle around the perimeter of peaceful Lake Galena. On the return, there are optional Wawa stops if needed, at mile 38 (Colmar), or 44 (North Wales). MINI TAILGATE PARTY: Leader will bring assorted snacks & soft drinks. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. This parking lot is directly across from the Norristown Area High School on Eagle Drive.. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. Start at Norristown Farm Park, parking lot on White Hall Road between Germantown Pike and Sterigere. This parking lot is directly across from the Norristown Area High School on Eagle Drive. Pretty route to Java's Brewin' Cafe in Limerick/Royersford. In preparation for Halloween, we'll take a slight detour through the Farm Park and the campus of Norristown State Hospital to cycle past one or two spooky, "haunted" buildings. We will have flat stretches along the SRT at both the beginning and final segments of this route. On our way out to Limerick, there is an optional quick rest break if needed in Phoenixville at mile 14. Sit-down food stop at the cafe in Limerick at mile 34. On the return, we'll be in Phoenixville again at mile 43 if another quick break is needed. Total climbing is 2,630 feet. Rolling hills, but we will stop to regroup as needed.     Level B- and C+, 14-15 and 13-14 mph, 60 miles. French Creek State Park, parking lot at Hopewell Lake, near the boat launch area.. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. An incredibly scenic ride through the Oley Valley in Berks County. Thanks to Rich Wagner for this picturesque route. Featuring the crossing of two covered bridges, Three rest stops. One at your standard convenience store. One at a great little deli/restaurant in the quaint town of Oley. And even one at a chocolatier. Terrain will consist of significant climbs (over the ridge) for the first and last 15 miles. The middle 30, in the valley, is rolling to flat. This will be one of the prettiest rides you will do this year. Cue sheets will be available. Total climbing 4176 feet. We will stop to regroup as needed. DRIVING DIRECTIONS to French Creek State Park: Take the Main PA Turnpike (I-76) West to the Downingtown Exit. This is two exits beyond (west of) the Valley Forge exit. After leaving the Turnpike, take PA 100 North/Pottstown Pike for 4 miles. You will pass through the town of Eagle. Turn left onto Conestoga Rd/PA-401 West. Stay on 401 West for 6 miles, then turn right onto PA-345 North/Bulltown Rd. Follow PA-345 North for 4 miles. There will be signs on 345 for French Creek State Park, and Hopewell Lake.     Level C+ and B+, 13.5 +/- and 16.5 +/- mph, 43 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Bring yer bike and sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to The Outbound Station in Conshohocken (33 mile mark) following a quick rest stop at mile 14 (Fischers Park). A mix of low traffic country and suburban roads, rolling hills (no real climbs) with the exception of 8 flat miles on the Schuylkill River Trail. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels).     Level B-/C+, 13.5-14.5 mph, 30-40 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. The dwindling daylight brings back the lights. Instead of settling for under 20 miles, these rides start in the daylight and continue in the darkness. Strong headlights and taillights required. Every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm through the end of October, These are beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. No one dropped, regroup as necessary, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace on rolling to hilly terrain. Precipitation cancels.

    Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Various starting points -- please check the daily . The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. We'll explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Depending on the destination, starting point may be in Conshohocken, Flourtown, Jenkintown, Wayne, Valley Forge, etc. Please check the daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map will be provided for each ride. Scheduled for virtually every Friday throughout the year, with a few exceptions here & there. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk (on foot). Meet at the parking lot across Ash Street from Jacobs Engineering. There are no bathrooms at this location. 16-18 mph for about 25 miles. Faster on the flat sections and slower on the few hills. Riders needs to be able to keep this pace. Rest stop at Lloyd Hall for bathroom and a quick snack (you need to bring your own snack). TRICK (UPDATED THE ROUTE AT 5:30 SUNDAY, plus different start location - The Market at DelVal) and TREAT (highly scenic ride to Ottsville). Being Halloween, please outfit yourself and /or your bike in as much orange as you can. Bring yer bike and sense of adventure. Today we'll ride to Ottsville for a snack at Brig O'Doon Coffee Shop followed by lunch at Tabora's in Chalfont. Lots of pretty country roads. No steep or spooky climbs, but lots of rolling hills.
